BEFORE YOU PRICE YOURSELF
Pricing is one of the hardest parts of starting out as an SMM, but it doesn't have to be guesswork. Here are the key factors to consider before you settle on a number:
- Your experience level - if you're brand new with no client work yet, start on the lower end of the Starter range. As you build your portfolio, raise your rates. Don't stay at beginner pricing forever.
- Your client's location - international clients (USD) are generally priced higher than local PH clients because of the income gap and currency difference. This is normal and expected.
- The scope of work - more platforms, more posts, more content creation = higher rate. Always match your price to what you're actually delivering.
- Your niche and specialization - if you specialize in a specific industry (beauty, wellness, fitness, etc.) and have proven results there, you can charge a premium. Expertise has value.
- Your process and systems - the more professional and streamlined your process is like your onboarding, strategy, reporting the more justified your rates become.
💡 MINDSET TIP: Don't undercharge just to get clients. Underpricing attracts the wrong clients and burns you out. Start fair, deliver well, and raise your rates as you grow.
